Luke Vice-Coles is a London-based trumpeter, session musician, and composer known for his diverse career in performing and recording various genres of music. Some highlights of his career include performing at Buckingham Palace, recording solos for the soundtrack of Stephen Spielberg's TV series "Masters of The Air," and headlining the Glastonbury Park Stage with Rex Orange County.
Luke began his formal music education at the Junior Royal Academy of Music in 2013 and later pursued a Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with First Class Honours in 2020. During his time at RAM, he played lead trumpet for the RAM Big Band and had lessons with renowned jazz trumpeters such as Ingrid Jensen and Jason Palmer.
He has performed with prestigious ensembles like the BBC Big Band and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and has appeared at major festivals including the BBC Proms, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, and London Jazz Festival. Luke also runs a recording studio where he has recorded sessions for various adverts, TV shows, and artists' albums.
By the age of 26, Luke had already made a name for himself in the professional London jazz scene, showcasing his talent at venues like Cadogan Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and many more.
