Recipient of the Worshipful Company of Musicians Young Jazz Musician of the Year Award, trumpeter James Davison works with premier ensembles across both jazz and classical music styles including the BBC Big Band, London Symphony & Royal Philharmonic Orchestras, as well as popular West End shows such as the Book of Mormon. James is a powerful force on the UK scene, performing regularly with The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington Orchestra and the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra.
Adam King has become one of the most in-demand bassists on the UK scene. He has played with some of the most prolific musicians on the UK and international jazz scene including Peter King, Stan Tracey, Julian Joseph, Joe Cohn, Jim Mullen, Alan Barnes, Dave Newton and Nigel Hitchcock amongst many others. He can often be seen playing at London’s top jazz establishments such as Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Jazz Club and Pizza Express Jazz Club. He is just as comfortable in the studio as on stage having recorded for the likes of Warner Brothers, Universal and the BBC. He is also a busy composer and producer and writes in many different genres for commercial purposes.
Hugo Jennings is a pianist, singer, and bandleader. He has established himself as a respected name in British jazz through his playing, knowledge of the music, and work as founder and director of the Battersea Jazz Festival. He has appeared at venues including the Clapham Grand, Pizza Express Dean Street, ExWide in Pisa, and at the Edinburgh Fringe, and performed alongside musicians including Quentin Collins, Steve Fishwick, Alex Garnett, Tom Smith, Ruben Fox, and American artists including Jerry Weldon, Gabrielle Stravelli, Pat O'Leary, Chuck Redd and Adam Moezinia. In addition to his performing as a jazz pianist and singer, Hugo also works as conductor of Social London Orchestra and the South London Jazz Orchestra.
