Lorenzo Morabito is an Italian double bass player based in London. Despite his young age, he has quickly become a first-call bass player on the British jazz scene since the pandemic. Lorenzo has been working with some of the top jazz musicians in the UK and Europe, collaborating with renowned artists such as Renato D'Aiello and Giacomo Smith. Lorenzo is a key member of the Nat Steele Quartet, where he performs alongside vibraphonist Nat Steele, pianist Matyas Gayer, and drummer Steve Brown. The quartet pays homage to the Modern Jazz Quartet, performing classic tunes such as "Django," "Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise," and "Bags Groove". His talent and dedication to jazz have earned him a reputation as one of the most promising young bassists in the contemporary jazz scene.
